It's official, the 2015 Calgary Stampede has now wrapped up. However something else in on the grounds also finished.

On the Day 10 of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Closing Ceremony's at the Indian Village was extremely meaningful.

Now that the Stampede has finished, work will be going on with the Indian Village as it will be relocated to ENMAX Park near Elbow River on the Stampede Grounds for next year.

The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth has shown all parts of the City and our Country for all its visitors from near and far. One of the highlights of the Calgary Stampede is the Indian Village.

The Current location of Indian Village is near the south exit of the park, in 2016 the teepees, heritage food booths, arts and craft tables, dancing demonstrations and music will be relocated on the east side of the Stampede Grounds.

It's been four decades of the current location of the Indian Village. However many of people who are directly involved with Indian Village are excited for the move for many different reasons. Most responded with more parking, a better sleep with flatter ground, more quiet, and of course "Newer is better."

The Closing Ceremony's featured many cultural dances and drumming music. From Treaty 7 many representatives were on site for the special Closing Ceremony and a few members of the RCMP were present at the Indian Village. The Calgary Stampede Queen and Princesses made an appearance along with the 2015 Indian Princess.

The Calgary Stampede welcomes you to the new location next year!
