A traffic stop in Okotoks on Thursday has led to charges against three individuals.

Okotoks Municipal Enforcement conducted a traffic stop on Southridge Drive July 14 around 5:15 p.m. with an SUV due to a faulty licence plate.

Once the vehicle stopped, it fled from the peace officer.

The suspect vehicle then collided with another vehicle before coming to a stop in the ditch near Southridge Drive and Westland Street.

RCMP attended and arrested three people.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was taken to hospital by EMS while the driver of the vehicle that was struck was transported to hospital for minor injuries and released the same day.

Names or charges cannot be released at this time as charges are still pending and the investigation is still ongoing.
