One of the grass fires west of the Big Rock.

Two grass fires are burning west of Okotoks.

The fires can be seen along Highway 7 west of the Big Rock and according to the Okotoks Fire Department are covering about ten acres.

Emergency crews are on scene and have kept the fire under control.

There has been a fire ban in place in the M.D. of Foothills since Mar. 11 because of the extremely dry conditions in the area.
