Construction season continues in High River, as Volker Stevin crews arrive in town to complete crosswalk and stop bar paving in High River.

July 31st crews will be tackling the intersection of center street and 12th avenue.

Town officials say traffic disruptions should be kept to a minimum but drivers should expect the use of cones, signs and flag people directing traffic.

Motorists are asked to slow down and drive with caution.

Later next week Volker Stevin crews will be patching and paving a portion of 12th avenue as well.

A 50 meter section of road in the eastbound lanes will be paved weather permitting.

There will be crews, flag people and reduced speed limit signs on hand, so drivers should watch out for that one as well.

That job is very weather dependent so Volker Stevin says there's no current time line for that project.
