The community of Polo Park in High River's North West was without water on Thursday July 11.

A water main broke again resulting in an immediate shut off to some resident's water supply.

Shawne Excavating had the water turned on within three hours of the break, but the Polo Park residents are still on a Boil Water Advisory.

The Town of High River has confirmed water samples were sent to a Provincial lab in Calgary where they will be tested for contaminants.

Should the samples come back clean, then Alberta Health Services will lift the boil water advisory.

For the time being residents are being asked to boil water for at least one minute, and then cool before being used in household chores like cooking, cleaning and washing fruits/vegetables.

Residents are also being told to avoid using tap water for consuming, bathing, brushing teeth or providing for pets until results have come back.

The Town has said they expect results by Saturday July 14, 2019.
