Easter Long weekend is upon us, which means there will be business closures and shifted schedules throughout the weekend.

In High River, the Town Hall Joint Administration Building, Greater Foothills Family Center, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), Public Works, the Recycling Center, the RCMP Administration Office, and the Fire and Protective Services Administration Office will be closed on Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1.

Essential Services, such as the Fire Department and RCMP will not be impacted by these closures.

The Distress Centre (24-hour Crisis Line), AHS Intake Line, and 911 are all also unaffected over the long weekend.

The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will have an altered schedule this weekend.

They will be closed on Friday, March 29, but on March 30 March 31, they'll be open from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.

On Easter Monday (April 1st), they will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Their aquatic facility will be closed for maintenance from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3.

The High River Library will be closed today for Good Friday but will resume their regular hours for the rest of the weekend.

As usual, the Salvation Army in High River is closed on statutory holidays.

For those who wish to participate in an Easter Candy Hunt, you are in luck.

The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Centre is hosting one on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

During this event, people will be exploring the rec centre, following hints and puzzles in order to fill up their Easter baskets.

Once your Easter basket is filled up, head over to the Cargill Field House for more family fun.

While it is a free event, they are asking people to bring a donation for Canadian Tire's Jumpstart program or a donation for the food bank.

Baskets won't be provided, so they are asking you to bring your own.
