The delivery van for Wild Rose Community Connections has been stolen.

The organization said the van was taken sometime on June 8th.

Executive Director Marianne Dixon was more than shocked that the highly visible van was stolen.

"Yes, I'm really having a hard time believing this but sometime Saturday night somebody came and stole our van that we do food deliveries and food pickups that serve our community with food insecurity.  I don't understand, I mean the van itself is splattered with decals and it has Wild Rose Community Connections, Food Rescue all over it so it's not hard to see in the community. It was parked in the back of our building and stolen right from there."

The building is located at #54 10th Ave. SE. Fortunately, there wasn't anything in the van at the time it was stolen.

"We just really want it back undamaged. We can't do the work without the van. It's a 2013 Ford panel van.

This isn't your ordinary panel van either, says Dixon.

"We had government grants to help us tailor this van so that it could meet our needs of food delivery and pick up. It really is retro'd to meet this need so it's going to be very expensive to replace this van."

If you do spot the van, you're asked to call the High River RCMP detachment at 403-652-2356.
