A nice honour for 18 year old High River baseball player Tucker Zdunich.

He picked up the Jerry Bender Memorial Award at the Okotoks Dawgs awards night a couple weeks back.

He says he's only been playing ball for five years.

"I started when I was 13 years old. Played two years of Bantam and this is my third year of Midget. This will be my last summer then I'll be off to Junior College."

Zdunich says winning the award was a surprise.
