With the New Year comes a new series of High River Chamber of Commerce luncheon's, which get started this week.

Chamber President Steve Muth, says this week's talk is all about signs.

"Our luncheon is this coming Thursday, January 24th at noon at the Highwood Golf and Country Club. And our speaker is going to be Sarah Peck and some other members of the Planning Department from the Town of High River. Specifically wanting to speak to business owners about signage bylaws and related bylaws in Town."

Muth, says Peck tells him some of these non-conforming signs have been displayed for quite some time.

"They and council have noted, apparently, quite a number of businesses in town that have non-conforming signs to the bylaws, that apparently those have been there, some of them she told me for a decade."

Muth says, you don't have to be a member to join in, as there are expected to be a few council members there to answer questions about the sign bylaws or other concerns.
