The filming of "Let Him Go" starring Kevin Costner and Diane Lane continues in High River next week, May 8-12.

The film is a suspense thriller movie that follows a Montana couple who just lost their son.

As the couple sets off to the Dakota's to rescue their young grandson from a family who lives off the grid, they find out that family doesn't want to let their grandson go.

Trucks will start to roll in on Wednesday, May 8 and will park in the empty lot behind the Highwood Museum.

Filming will start on Friday, May 10 at on private property located on 3rd Avenue S.W.

There may be temporary sidewalk closures in the morning Friday in the area.

Parking will be restricted to film crews only on the south side of 3rd Avenue S.W. from the crosswalk to 1st Street S.W. until about 6:30 at night. 

Between 8:30 pm and 1:00 am, filming will take place again and there may temporary road closures on 1st Street S.W, Macleod Trail and 3rd Avenue when required.

Any road closures should last for about five minutes at a time.

Filming will continue in the area until Sunday, May 12 when crews leave.

The production company says there may be some inconveniences to neighbours in the area while filming, but they will be working with residents and the Town to ensure it's kept to a minimum.
