Emergency crews responded to a minor plane crash just north of Okotoks Thursday, August 8.

According to Okotoks RCMP, the aircraft's rear wheels hit a farmers fence during take off causing the pilot to crash land in the farmers pea field.

Both the pilot and passenger walked away from the wreck uninjured.

Police, the Okotoks Fire Department, EMS and Municipal Enforcement responded to the Okotoks Airport around 11:00 a.m.

RCMP say the accident was reported to the Alberta Transportation Safety Board.

They continue to investigate.
