Strathmore RCMP are investigating a jewelry scam.

Four separate incidents have been reported to police of people being approached in parking lots by individuals selling what police say is fake gold jewelry the scammers claim is authentic.

The vehicle involved is described as a blue Dodge Journey with an Ontario or Quebec license plate.

Police say the suspects are described as middle eastern men and women between 30 and 50 years old.

Police say their investigation shows similar incidents happened earlier this month in Vulcan as well as Halkirk, Sundre, and in Saskatchewan.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Strathmore RCMP at (403) 934-3968.
