Saturday, March 9 saw Mom's and Dad's registering their kids and themselves during Showcase High River.

The event, formerly known as the Health and Wellness Fair or the Registration Roundup, was also open for other businesses.

Tracy Morgan, recreation administration and programming supervisor for the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex says there's more to do and see than ever.

"We do have some new business types, so not necessarily having to do with health and wellness but, for instance we have some people selling jewelry here this year, so we're really trying to open it up to new vendors."

Individuals and organizations from all over High River set up shop for the afternoon.

Morgan said the event is an excellent way to show what High River has to offer.

"We're more than just the Health and Wellness fair, we're more than just Registration Roundup. We really wanted an opportunity to showcase High River, what we have to offer the community and what all the business's and exciting things that we have for the community."

Morgan says some of the programs now have new instructors.

Morgan says they're very excited about the new community guide.

"We have a whole bunch of new programs that are in our guide this year, and of course we're hoping that pool's going to open up soon. We're just trying to have a fresh look for Parks and Recreation. We're very excited about where we're going in the community, our programs are becoming more and more popular and people are wanting to see new things and that's what we're trying to provide for the community."
