The former head of Medicine Hat's Parks and Recreation Department is the new CAO in Turner Valley.

Todd Sharpe takes over the role from Barry Williamson, who retired in early January.

60 people applied for the job, which was whittled down to a final four by an ad-hoc search committee.

They unanimously agreed on Sharpe.

He takes over the job Monday, May 14.

Heather Thomson remains as the Interim CAO until Sharpe's arrival.
