The intersection of High Country Drive and High View Gate in NW High River will only be open to local traffic for the week of August 21 to 25.

It's because workers will be installing the new 4-way stop, including signs, bump-outs and speed cushions.

Flaggers will be on hand during the construction from 7:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. daily until the work is complete.

Signs along sidewalks informing residents.

The Town says it should be finished by the end of the week, weather permitting.

Flaggers and workers won't be on site after 4:00 p.m. so the Town is asking you to be extra careful and to slow down while going through the construction area.

If you do plan on going to the Spray Park or the Pump Track the Town is advising you to use the back way from Longview Trail to Highwood Village Gate.

Here's a map of the detour.

And once it's completed and in use the Town will be asking for residents' feedback on it.
