The Brooks Bandits finished off the Surrey Eagles with a two-game sweep during their best-of-three Rocky Mountain challenge which Brooks hosted over the weekend.

Jordan Hughesman and Parker Lalonde led the way with three points each, both getting two goals and an assist. Hunter Wallace would also add two goals in the two games and was voted the Rocky Mountain Challenge MVP.

The Bandits won game one on Friday (May 31) with a score of 5-2 and then followed it up with another win on Saturday, finishing off the Eagles 4-1.

Both teams made the Rocky Mountain Challenge after winning their respective playoffs and met for a best in the BCHL matchup.

Brooks continues to be the team to beat, even after joining the BCHL late this season. The Okotoks Oilers were the team that gave the Bandits the most trouble, going a full seven games in the second round of the BCHL Alberta Division.

The Bandits can hold their heads high as they accomplished their goal both in the BCHL Alberta Division and capped it off with a Rocky Mountain Challenge title.
