The Okotoks Bisons hit the road this weekend for games in Sylvan Lake and Cochrane.

The Bisons are 8-and-0 on the year and Coach, Chris Beston says they can't take anyone lightly regardless of their record.

"Every team wants to knock the Bisons off. So we've got to be prepared for everybody's "A" game. So we know going into Sylvan Lake we're going to have to be focused and ready for that game."

Beston says he expects a good game from the Generals Saturday, October 19.

"You know their record probably doesn't show how good they really are so we know we're in for a battle come Saturday night."

The Bisons lead the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League with 57 goals in their eight wins so far, while only giving up 16 for a +41 differential, which makes them scary good at both ends of the ice and one of the biggest reasons for their dominance so far this year.

Beston says it's easy when you can roll all four lines with confidence.

"You can throw any line out at any time and any one of them can score. So, we're excited about that. It's a little bit different than what we've had the last two years."

In the meantime, the Bisons took two of the three stars of the week in the Heritage League, with forward Tyler Witzke adding to his league leading totals with eight points over the weekend.

He has seven goals and 19 points so far this season, just one up on teammate Tyson Scott with 18 points.

The third star of the week is Bisons netminder, Devin Reagan, who stopped 47 of the 50 shots he faced in wins over Airdrie and Stettler as he's boasting a 1.64 goals against average this season.

The week's first star was Jayden Bexte with the Coaldale Copperheads who extended his points scoring streak to 10 games.
