A prominent Western-Canadian broadcaster is celebrating a special milestone Friday. Golden West Broadcasting is marking 30 years of radio service to the Foothills with AM 1140.
Executive Vice President Lyndon Friesen says the honor isn't something they come across every day. He says 30 years is a big accomplishment for any organization, let alone one that seeks to provide a community service full of local information, as well as entertainment. To celebrate, the station is hosting a party in High River's George Lane Park from 4-8 o'clock Friday.
