The Okotoks Dawgs got back into the win column with a 12-8 win over the Edmonton Prospects Sunday afternoon at Seaman Stadium.

The game did not start out as planned for the home squad, but a late rally gave the sellout crowd of nearly four thousand a lot to cheer about.

The Prospects put up three runs in the first, four in the second and one more in the third to give them an 8-6 lead through three innings.

After a rocky start, the relievers settled down and shut down their opponents from there.

Dominic Porretta got the win pitching, 2.2 innings without giving up a run.

The offense was playing from behind from the first inning on, but it didn’t seem to rattle them.

After scoring early to try and match the runs that the Prospects were putting up, the boys put the game away in the eighth inning.

Sean Kettering hit his seventh home run of the young season and Jordan Procyshen hit his second homer of the year.

Also, Cade Gotta put a ball over the fence to give him his first homer of the season.
