After winning their first three games on opening weekend, the Dawgs kept rolling against the Gulls in Sylvan Lake on Tuesday night.

Hits were scarce in the win, but it was enough to secure a 3-2 victory to push their record to 4-0 and remain undefeated.

The Dawgs pitchers combined for 9 strikeouts in the win.

Hits were at a premium in tonight’s game for the Dawgs. They only were able to muster up 3 hits in the game but managed to score 3 runs in the victory.

Nash Crowell (Reinhardt University, GA) came across to score in the 2nd inning on a groundout by Caleb Lumbard (Okanagan College). In the third inning, Connor Crowson (University of Montevallo, AL) singled to score two runs increasing their lead, which was all the Dawgs needed to secure the win. Ryan McFarland (Campbellsville University, KY) had a strong outing and tossed 5 scoreless innings.

The Dawgs' defense made two highlight-reel catches in the third inning courtesy of Alejandro Cazorla (Bossier Parish CC, LA) and Thomas Cifalino (University of Bologna). McFarland finish his outing with 2 strikeouts and allowed 1 run while giving up 4 hits. Brandon Leblanc (Emporia State University, KS) came on in relief and shut the door down striking out the side in the bottom of the 6th inning.

The final 3 innings saw the Dawgs relievers hold the lead to close out the victory for the Dawgs.

The Dawgs will make a quick trip home to battle the Fort McMurray Giants at Seaman Stadium on Wednesday, May 31st at 7:05 pm, before heading back out on the road to take on the Brooks Bombers June 1st at 7:05 pm.
