The Okotoks Dawgs undefeated streak came to an end Friday night as the Gulls held on to a 1-0 win.

The Dawgs were not able to muster up much offense in the game only getting 2 hits in the loss.

Pitching for the Dawgs was solid for another night striking out 11 Gulls batters in the loss.

Elijah Hammill (University of Utah, UT) smacked a triple in the 3rd inning, ending his night 1 for 3. Caleb Lumbard (Okanagan College) got the only other hit in the game for the Dawgs in the 5th inning, Garrett Maloney (Campbellsville University, KY) went three innings only surrendering 1 run on 7 hits and 4 strike outs.

The Dawgs bullpen stepped up and shut the door down on the Gulls only giving up 3 hits for the remainder of the game.

The Dawgs travel to Sylvan Lake for a rematch against the Gulls Saturday night opening pitch set for 7:05 p.m.

Meanwhile at Seaman Stadium Saturday night, the Futures game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m., fans can see the up-and-coming Dawgs stars in action.
