Election signs were recently defaced in the Livingstone-Malceod riding.

A sign for Alberta NDP candidate Kevin Van Tighem was spraypainted over in black, essentially crossing out his name.

Reddit user Lukazio also posted an image to r/Alberta showing another Kevin Van Tighem sign with a picture seemingly taped over it.

If a person is caught doing this, they can be charged with mischief to property under $5000 or theft and face a criminal charge as well as a fine.

If you witness someone committing the act, you can report it to your local police or call Crime Stoppers.
