A battle of winless teams in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League Friday, October 11, when the High River Flyers host the Lomond Lakers.

The Flyers are a point up on the Lakers thanks to earning a point in an overtime loss to the Rocky Rams back on Saturday, September 21.

But after last weekend where they kept it close in a pair of losses, Coach Colten Hayes, says they're getting closer to turning the corner.

"We're right there, we've just got to get over that hump kind of thing. Hopefully it starts this weekend and I know Lomond's not going to be a walk in the park as they played Cochrane pretty hard as well on Sunday. So, it's going to be a pretty good game and both teams are going to be hungry for that first win."

The Flyers head south to wrap up the weekend with a tilt against the Copperheads Sunday, October 13.

Hayes says it's always tough to play in "The Snakepit."

"It's a hard rink to play in for sure. You know when I was there coaching with the Bisons in playoffs and even last year when we were playing there we didn't have too much success. And they're a pretty good team again this year."

Friday's game against the Lakers is an 8 o'clock start at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.
