Local weather amateur weather forecaster Angie Brown is pretty stoked for a warm week as Summer officially kicks off on Thursday, June 20.

Starting with a cool start to the week she says it's going to end with a bang.

Angie joined her Uncle Charlie Brown on the 99.7 Sun Country Morning Show just after 6:30 a.m. today.

"It is a chilly 5 degrees today, but we're on our way up to a high of 13, a mix of sun and cloud with a risk of a thundershower for this afternoon. Tomorrow is periods of rain and then a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 12, and it's a little bit chilly still but Wednesday we warm up to a high of 16 with a mix of sun and cloud. Thursday, we warm up to a beautiful 21 degrees with sunny skies. Then Friday we warm up to 22, also with sunny skies. Saturday, we crank up the heat a little bit with a high of 26. Sunday, we really crank up the heat with a high of 31 and sunny."
