While the weekend weather in Okotoks was nothing to celebrate, in today's game against the Fort McMurray Giants the Dawgs made sure to salute to everyone's father.

At the start of the game, Okotoks announced that many of the Dawgs' dads made it into town for the game and introduced them one by one as they ran on the field. They would then line up across from each of their sons and throw the game's first pitch.

Okotoks and Fort McMurray would then play seven and a half innings until rainfall found its way back to Seaman Stadium. The Giants were leading 6-4 at the time of the stoppage.

Connor Crowson hit his sixth home run of the season which now puts him tied for second with the most home runs in the 2024 WCBL season. Crowson would have three RBIs until the game was postponed due to weather difficulties.

Chestermere's own Logan Grant would also get an RBI on the night after he got Jarrett Burney in for a run.

Currently, there is no date or time when they will be able to finish the game between the Dawgs and the Giants. More details are expected to be announced at a later date.

Okotoks will now have two days off and will host The Lethbridge Bulls at Seaman Stadium on Wednesday.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
