The "Stars" of the Community will be awarded tonight.

Service Excellence Awards from the Okotoks and District Chamber of Commerce will be handed out at the Foothills Centennial Centre.

And one of the nominees is one of our own.

Don McCracken, News and Sports Director for the Eagle 100.9 and AM 1140 has been nominated for his service in the media category.

McCracken has been covering local news and sports in the Foothills for over 20 years.

Other categories include everything from Best Customer Service to Volunteer of the Year.
