The Town of Okotoks has released an update for the planned pump track.

It's set to be built in Bill Robertson Park on North Railway Street, which is already home to workout equipment, pathways, a baseball diamond, soccer goalposts, and an inclusive playground with a picnic shelter.

They held a survey in April to gauge what the track's potential users would want to see from it, and how locals are currently using the park.

The survey also included two potential designs for the track, which respondents voted on.

With the survey having wrapped, the town has released the results from the 231 people who responded.

Highlights from the 'What We Heard Report' include 73 per cent of respondents who would utilize the track saying they would get there via bike, with over 50 per cent saying they'd drive there.

Of the two designs, design B got 63 per cent of the vote.

The report also includes hundreds of written responses on why respondents preferred design B, what they would change about the design, and what other features they'd like to see in the track.

Construction is expected to begin this summer.

The full report can be seen on the town's website.
