The Okotoks Dawgs' 2014 season is fast approaching, and players from across Canada and the U.S. will be in town before you know it.

Most of those players need a place to stay, which is where Okotoks residents come in to play.

The Dawgs organization is searching for billet families to take in a Dawgs player, or two, for the summer.

Assistant Operations Manager Ethan Green laid out exactly what a billet family will have to do for the player(s).

"Main responsibilities will be providing a bedroom for one or two Dawgs players, and just providing them with food and a great place to live for a couple months to really enjoy their whole Okotoks experience."

For the exact time-lines, Green added "our report date is May 27th, so it'll be right around there until, fingers crossed, the middle of August, if we make it to the end of finals, so they wouldn't be out until August 26th or 27th."

A billet family will get a pair of Dawgs season tickets, as well as $500 to cover food costs for the summer.

Green said the $500 should cover food, as the team feeds the players quite often.

"A lot of the time, they're really only eating breakfast at the house, or maybe just a small lunch. We try our best to keep them comfortable here and feed them to get them ready for the games."

Green added they're only looking for billet families who live in Okotoks, so players can easily get to Seaman Stadium every day.
