The Okotoks Oilers battled it out with the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Sunday night at the Centennial Arena.

And it was the Bulldogs edging out the Oilers 2-1.

The Oilers would get on the scoresheet first with a goal from Brett Wilson assisted by Sam Huck and Connor Gourley at the 2:50 mark of the first period.

But it would be the Bulldogs hunting down two goals in the second period and they would hang on for the win.

Mikael Kingo would take the loss in net for the Oilers stopping 17 of 19 shots faced as the Oilers peppered Bulldogs netminder Gabe Gratton with 36 shots but were only able to score once.

The teams are fighting for playoff position in the BCHL Alberta division with only four games left in the regular season.

Currently the Oilers are in fourth place, just one point behind the Bulldogs with 79 points to the Bulldogs 80.
