Okotoks opens new playground ahead of schedule

Rich's Playground is already finished and reopened.

The playground, located at the Lion's Park Campground, was closed for a renovation and was expected to remain that way for a few more days.

Crews made quick work of the project though, finishing up on September 3, five days ahead of schedule.

The new play equipment was voted on by locals in two surveys.

In the first, from April of 2021, Okotokians voted for a "nature-based" design.

Then, in February of this year, a second survey was held to determine the final design.
