The outdoor tennis and pickleball courts in High River are closed for maintenance.

The Town had allocated $100,000 in last year's budget for the work but due to the weather they were unable to get to it.

The work started on Friday April 29, and it's expected to last for 14 business days however it is weather dependent.

Hopefully the courts will be ready before the end of May.

In the meantime, the Town is asking tennis and pickleball players to use the Cargill Field House at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex.

Once the resurfacing is done and the lines are painted the Town will be adding in windscreens and netting. Crews will also be installing permanent pickleball nets on one court.

Generally, an outdoor court lasts about 10 years before resurfacing and the courts were installed in 2011.
