The Provincial government's introduced legilation to reducing health issues associated with smoking and vaping.

The government wants to bring rules around vaping in line with those already in place for tobacco and smoking.

The minimum age for purchasing, possessing or using vaping products will be 18 and vaping displays in convenience stores would have to align with tobacco restrictions in place now.

New places where vaping and smoking will not be allowed include on hospital, school or child care properties, playgrounds, sports or playing fields, skateboard or bicycle parks, public outdoor pools or splash pads, zoos and outdoor theatres.

Vaping product sales will also align with tobacco restrictions, so no more sales in health facilities, pharmacies or from vending machines.

The Province also says it'll establish restrictions on flavoured vape if the federal government doesn't do it in legilation it's bringing forward.
