A few new public art pieces have popped up in Okotoks.

They’re among the 19 new public art projects in Okotoks planned for the coming months, which were announced earlier this year.

Late last week, Komal Bishnoi completed her Stampede Summer Mural on the windows of the Okotoks Municipal Centre.

It’s one of two murals planned for the municipal centre this year, with a Light Up mural to come closer to the winter.

Bishnoi will also be contributing one of three Elevate the Elevator murals at the Old Church Theatre (formerly the Rotary Performing Arts Centre.)

Okotokians may have also noticed the four new Beautiful Bins in town.

They were designed and painted by Artists Aly Tucker, Sterling Smith, Cecilia Leddy, and Whitney Thompson.

The four new designs bring the total number of Beautiful Bins to 10, with six having been painted in 2022

Okotoks' public art projects can be tracked via an interactive map on the Town of Okotoks website.
