Some new developments are emerging regarding the disappearance of 2 year old Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette and the murder of her Father Terry.

Supt. Tony Hamori with the RCMP confirmed today that one male suspect is in custody in relation to both incidents.

No charges have been laid at this moment and the identity of the suspect is not being released while the investigation is ongoing.

The AMBER Alert for Hailey is still ongoing and is now entering it's second day with no sign of the young girl.

Hamori did comment that RCMP had located a white van that fit the description of the one they're looking for, but said it was too soon to determine if it was the exact vehicle.

Few details though are known about the history of Terry Blanchette, Hailey's Father and whether or not he was known to Police.

Hamori could only comment on the AMBER Alert which is still reaching across Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Montana.

While the arrest of the young man in Blairmore is a positive step in the investigation, Hamori says it's still tough knowing they haven't found Hailey.

"Obviously that causes everybody a lot of stress. Everybody's primary goal is to locate Hailey safe and sound and to return her to her family...This is the toughest kind of case for Police officers to deal with when you're dealing with a missing child in a circumstance like this."

Both investigations are ongoing by the RCMP and they're encouraging anyone with information to contact them or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
