Smith's Reaction To Premier's Address

Alberta Premier Alison Redford took to the airwaves Thursday night to outline her party's strategy heading into the new year.

Wildrose Leader and Highwood M.L.A Danielle Smith says that strategy never became clear in Redford's eight minute speech.

Smith says it was a hodge podge of mixed messages.

"She promises to maintain spending, but live within our means. She promises no taxes and that there's going to be money left over for savings. She didn't mention anything about her debt plan. And yet we know that to keep her substantial election promises we're going to have to see billions and billions in debt."

Smith says she'll continue to hold the tories feet to the fire over their budget when the legislature resumes for their spring sitting March 5th.
