Chanse Vigen remains a dominating force in the 2024 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby.
He posted the top time on day 8, (1:10.81) taking top spot in the aggregate going into Saturday. This was his third time in the top daily spot this week.
Close behind him was High River's Jason Glass, coming in at 41 one-hundredths of a second less than Vigen.
He's also second in the aggregate, bolstered by his strong performance on day 8 and his track record from the day prior.
Layne MacGillivray is third overall after placing seventh on the day.
Chad Fike, who had held the top spot in the aggregate the night prior, fell to fifth in the aggregate after knocking a barrel and ending up on 25th on the night.
The top three after Saturday night will race in the championship heat on Sunday.
