Residents in Cayley are still not feeling the pressure as a major break in a water main causes most of the hamlet to be at low water pressure.

Manager of Infrastructure for Foothills County, Jeff Edgington, says those on Osler Street can expect a complete turn off between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15.

"Work is currently underway, water will be shut off for Osler street around 4:00 p.m. and should be restored around 7:00 p.m." Edginton says "Water will remain on lower pressure throughout Cayley until repairs are complete."

Edgington says while they have the water main exposed, crews will be adding some fail-safes to prevent a total town shut-off for future problems.

"We are adding a couple of additional valves so that we'll better be able to isolate and perhaps not have such a worry about having to shut down the whole town in the future."

Currently, crews say no residences have been damaged by the water, but they are watching for flooding in homes near the break.

Once the work is complete around 7:00 p.m,  water will be back to normal for everyone in the town.
