High River youth will be representing the town in two swim meets this weekend.

The Tigers swim club are heading out to Airdrie and Calgary to hopefully earn a few more spots for provincials at the end of the month.

They earned two spots last weekend at the Pugsley's Plunge at the Repsol Centre.

"it was a great meet the kids swam really hard," said president Terri Walker.

They had nine swimmers that made the finals on Saturday night,

Thirteen swimmers, girls over 11 and boys over 12, will be heading to Airdrie for the John Timmerman Memorial Invitational meet.

Ten younger swimmers are heading to the Killarney Crazy Hat Circuit Meet in Calgary.

"There's still time for these kids you never know, they surprise us," Walker said.

Both of the meets qualify for provincial times.
