A new bylaw is proposed for use of recreation facilities in High River.

The Town is developing a new Recreation Facilities Bylaw aimed at improving access and optimize usage of recreation facilities, as well as to promote their responsible use, enjoyment and protection.

Recreation staff have been working on it over the past several months based on research from other municipalities and recreation facilities to ensure it follows best practices.

According to a news release from the Town the new bylaw would mean some changes could be coming to High River's recreation facilities. Any changes to recreation policies, procedures, or rates would be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Residents will be given the chance to learn more and provide input at an information session on Tuesday, April 25 at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.
