The Foothills Kinettes got some good news at the High River Town Council meeting Monday, August 13.

Their dedication and perseverance over the last two and a half years is being recognized with the naming of the new water tower park as the "Foothills Kinettes Water Tower Park."

The Kinettes raised $187,000 to create the new park, which required a tremendous amount of work, including grant research and writing, fundraising, and more.

Construction began the same day and is set to be complete by Friday, August 31.

Opening ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, September 12, with Our High River hosting their Community Cafe at the park starting at 5 p.m.
