A great weekend for the Okotoks Bisons in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League as they won both their games this weekend.

The Bisons beat the Cochrane Generals 5-2 Friday night in Okotoks, then handed the Stettler Lightning at 10-1 loss Saturday night on the road in Stettler.

For the High River Flyers, it was another challenging weekend, but they are just so close to breaking through.

They lost a 4-3 overtime squeaker to the Coaldale Copperheads Friday night at home, and then lost another close 4-3 game to the Vipers Sunday in Red Deer.

As for Strathmore Wheatland Kings, they had a rough weekend losing all three of their games.

5-4 to Medicine Hat Friday, 7-4 to Mountainview Saturday and 7-4 Sunday in Airdrie to the Thunder.

The CFR "AAA" Midget Bisons were in action as well as they split their games.

They were 4-2 losers to the Calgary Buffaloes Saturday, but bounced back with a 3-1 win over the Calgary Royals Sunday.
