The Okotoks Bisons are heading back to provincials.

With the Bisons winning the Heritage B Junior Hockey League championship on the weekend they're now headed to provincials.

The good news is, they won't have to travel far.

They only have to travel from the Murray arena to the Centennial arena.

The Bisons are hosting the Junior B hockey provincials from April 5th to the 9th.

They've won a bronze at last year's provincials while the Fort St. John Huskies took the gold medal with the Cochrane Generals winning the silver.

Six teams have been invited with each team playing four games before the finals on April 9th.

Here's the Bisons schedule:

  • April 5th @ 8:00 p.m. vs Fort St. John Huskies (North West Junior Hockey League)
  • April 6th @ 8:00 p.m. vs Sylvan Lake Wranglers (HJHL, finished second to Okotoks Bisons)
  • April 7th @ 7:00 p.m. vs Sherwood Park Knights (Capital Junior Hockey League)
