The Carstar Okotoks Bisons took game three over the High River Brewing Co. Flyers with a final score of 5-2 last night at the Murray arena.

They now lead the best of five round two series two games to one. They're now just one win away from advancing to the HJHL semi-finals.

The Herd charged out of the gate scoring three goals in the first to take a 3-0 lead into the second period.

Scott Brown scored first on an assist from Daniel Tainton. Then Easton Dean made it 2-0 with assists going to Jake Snashall and Hunter Cobb. And Tainton would notch his first of the playoffs assisted by Scott Brown and Nolan Smith. 

The second period saw Connor Smith score one for the Flyers to close the gap to 3-1 however, the Bisons would add two more before the period was over to take a 5-1 lead. Goals came from Ethan MacIntrye (Kaleb Schuller and Jady Shigehiro) and Snashall (Brown, Shigehiro).

The only goal in the third period came from Flyers Carter Kelly assisted by Brendan McKague on the powerplay with less than a minute left in the game.

They now get set for game four on Thursday night in High River at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex with a puck drop of 7:30 p.m.

If the Bisons win they take on the winner of the Medicine Hat Cubs - Coaldale Copperheads series and if the Flyers win, then if it's off to the deciding game five it's in Okotoks on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Murray arena.
