After a big 12-3 Okotoks Dawgs (11-9) win over the Melville Millionaires (4-15) Thursday night, the two teams get right back at it Friday night.

The Dawgs can make it two straight against the Millionaires, and their fourth win in a row overall.

Winners of eight of the last nine games, infielder Thomas Rodrigues says his team is on a roll.

"The bats look good, we're getting hot," he says. "We have a great offence, so it's good to get the guys going, and we saw a couple guys loosen up a bit and hit some balls hard, so it's a good thing."

After two losses in Melville on June 11 and 12, Rodrigues says the Dawgs definitely felt more comfortable at Seaman Stadium.

"Just the atmosphere of being home really helps a lot," he says. "We're just clicking, and we kind of gelled on that (Saskatchewan) road trip, so I think it's just more relaxed."

Rodrigues says the team has come a long way since a 3-8 start, but there's still room to grow.

"(Manager) Brett (Thomas) has been talking about trying to find ways to get better each day," he says. "So, it's not even July yet, so we still have a lot of work to do."

The Dawgs still sit just behind the Edmonton Prospects (10-8) for second place in the WMBL's Alberta Division.

First pitch is set for 7:05 at Seaman Stadium.
