The Okotoks Dawgs completely ran away with today's game against the Prospects, leaving no doubt by outscoring Edmonton 22-1.

Troy Benko started on the mound for the Dawgs, getting the win, striking out five Prospect players, and not allowing a single run in the four innings he pitched.  

The Dawgs pitching was on point, allowing only six hits during the whole game.

Barry Eiseman was a man-possessed tonight getting four hits with five at-bats. He added five RBIs and crossed home plate twice for two runs.

Jarrett Burney stayed hot in his second game with the Dawgs posting five RBIs, and getting three runs across home plate.

Okotoks started the game off with three runs in the bottom of the first and then added another four runs in the bottom of the second going up 7-0 early in the game.

In the third, fourth, and fifth innings, neither team would get a run, but in the bottom of the sixth, the Dawgs would add to their already large lead by getting a run from Logan Grant going up 8-0 on the Prospects.

The seventh inning was all Dawgs as they scored a total of 14 runs, making easy work of the Edmonton Prospects. 

Prospects would finally answer with a single run in the top of the eighth, avoiding the shutout but finished the game well behind the Dawgs.

Okotoks will look to continue their domination of the WCBL when they play the Fort McMurray Giants for the first time this season, tomorrow night.

The Dawgs will host their ninth home game of the season at Seaman Stadium with the first pitch at 7:05.
