It’s the final day of the 2024 Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship, and High River’s Jason Glass will not be among the four drivers in the $22,00 championship heat.

He started off strong on day one with the top time of the night, which left him 1.53 seconds ahead of 2nd place.

That lead proved helpful on day two, with Glass remaining number one in the aggregate despite landing in 4th on the day.

On day three though, a two-second penalty ended up landing him in 33rd spot for the day and 5th in the aggregate, just 43 one-hundredths of a second between him and a shot at the final heat and the George Normand Memorial Buckle.

According to the WPCA, it was his first driver penalty since 2019.

He currently sits in 4th place in the WPCA standings.

Chanse Vigen, Rae Croteau Jr., Luke Tournier, and Layne MacGillivray will be racing for the championship tonight, then the chucks are headed to the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede from June 20-23.
