Some big news from the Calgary Flames today, as the team announced a long-term extension for Mark Giordano.
The Flames signed their captain to a six-year deal worth $40.5 million, which averages out to $6.75 million per season.
The 31 year old notched 11 goals and 37 assists in 61 games last season, before going down with a torn bicep.
In 510 career games with the Calgary Flames, Giordano has 66 goals and 179 assists.
