The Okotoks Oilers came close but couldn't extend their winning streak to three games Tuesday night as they fell 6-5 to the Canmore Eagles in the shoot-out.

The Oilers had this one for the taking, leading 5-4 with about five-and-a-half minutes to go, but the Eagles tied it up with just under two minutes left in the third to force overtime.

That didn't solve anything, so it was off to the shoot-out.

The Oilers do pick up a point, as they sit fourth in the AJHL's South Division.

They host the fifth place Olds Grizzlys Friday night starting at 7 at the Centennial Arena.
