The Green Army were out in full force on Friday night at the Okotoks Centennial arena.

1,292 strong took in the game between the Okotoks Oilers and the Blackfalds Bulldogs as they battle for playoff position.

And it was the Oilers coming away with a 4-3 overtime win with Sam Huck netting the winner.

Jack Silverberg scored the all-important first goal of the game, assisted by Hayden Fechner and Rylan Brown at the 8:15 mark of the first period.

But the Bulldogs would respond immediately tying it up just 28 seconds later.

Silverberg would add another, again assisted by Brown and Fechner to even up the game at two in the second after the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead.

The Bulldogs would score again before the end of the second to take a 3-2 lead into the third.

However, Connor Gourley would tinkle the twine to even it up eventually sending it into overtime.

Sam Huck, on an assist from team captain Dean Spak, would find the back of the Bulldogs net 2:17 minutes into the extra period for the two points.

Mikael Kingo would stop 23 of the 26 shots on net for the win.

The Oil now hop on the bus to Brooks for a 7 o'clock puck drop tonight, March 2.
