Turner Valley's Mike Libbus rink is gearing up for another run at the Provincial men's curling title again this weekend as they head to Calgary for the Southern Alberta men's playdowns.

Libbus and company made the grade in 2012 and he says with the addition of Dan Petryk throwing the skip stones this year, they've got a shot.

"He's a former Canadian Junior Champ, former World Champion with Kevin Martin. His experience and shot making ability brings a lot to the team. We found four guys that are interested in just playing a few events. We went through Districts pretty good, we played OK. So hopefully we can keep it rolling going into Southern's. But the competition's really tough. We're going to play it end by end and see what happens."

Libbus, along with Petryk, who plays third but throws Skip stones are joined by second Brad MacInnes and Lead Peter Keenan.

Southern's run Friday to Monday at the Glencoe Club.
